But not sure about the tan/pink wire (looks orange in the photo), if it's #9 or not? Yes, #8 is the red wire with the fusible link, #5 is the purple wire to the starter solenoid ... My engine harness was all chopped up at the starter and alternator connections, so I replaced it with one from American Autowire. It matched my original exactly at the bulkhead.
