Grasshopper is planar
WebI'm having problems with the Explode component of grasshopper. I have a curve that I want to be exploded into Arc-like Curves and into Line-like Curves. But for some reason there are also Planar Curves between them. Now that would't be a problem if these Planar Curves where as Arc-like Curves or as Line-like Curves. WebMay 16, 2013 · A line-Like Curve is exactly that a curve that is similar to a line. i.e it has a start point and and end point and the curve between them does not deviate from the shortest path. A Line is always a curve but a curve is not always a line. This curve is getting the same points on it as the others. Permalink Reply by David Rutten on May 16, 2013 ... WebJan 31, 2014 · Planarity ideally uses a tolerance to determine whether or not a face really is planar. It is entirely possible that a transformed nurbs surface gains a tiny amount of noise, which would mean it is technically no longer planar, even though the deviation would be 100 times smaller than the planck length.

WebA lot of components in Grasshopper let us set a reference plane for either the creation of objects, transformations, or other operations. In general, it’s a better idea to generate construction planes first and then create the objects on top of them. In an algorithm, it’s easy to generate a unique plane for every object.
